Weddings at Sorrel House

Sorrel house makes the perfect venue for intimate, private and relaxed wedding celebrations. With space to sleep up to 14 guests, why not keep things minimal and celebrate your special day with a select few.

From elopements just for two, through to wedding parties up to 30, the rustic charm of the countryside and elegant yet relaxed feel of the house makes for a truly unique experience. Whatever the size of small wedding you are considering, if you are looking for your own private and intimate celebration in an authentic setting then Sorrel house is the perfect venue.

Reception

Enjoy your reception in the The old house where we have a fully functioning bar, seating area and open fireplace which has a wonderful mix of period features and contemporary design. There’s also a beautiful and spacious patio area overlooking the fountain and garden which extends off the main house meaning that come rain or shine you’ll have fantastic indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy your day.

With the two large old oak tables located within the house we can easily accommodate any number up to 30 guests in the conservatory looking out over the garden for the wedding breakfast.

Wed, celebrate and stay

Although Sorrel House doesn’t hold a wedding license, All Saints church in the village is the perfect setting for an idyllic ceremony. The church is quite literally only a stones through away from the house. We are more than happy to put you in contact with the local vicar to discuss availability and register`s fees.

- All of wedding parties have exclusive use of the house for the day of the wedding, day before and day after.

- We supply tableware, glassware, crockery and cutlery for up to 30 guests.

-Seating and tables to accommodate up to 30 guests

-List of recommended wedding suppliers, eg. photographer, florist, private catering, classic car rental.

-Events license if necessary (We can obtain an event license from the local council on your behalf for larger parties in case things get a little noisier in the evenings or you are thinking of having live entertainment.)

-6 ensuite guests rooms sleeping up to 14 people the night before and the night of the wedding.

Total price: £2000

Deposit: We require a 50% at time of booking, however you can get a refund (not within 72hrs of your booking date) if your plans change.
